ABOUT
Paul Cotto artworks
My instinctive creativity, curiosity and feel for colour and composition were informed by a diversity of Australian and international climates and lifestyles in his formative years after harbour living in North Sydney and then by the Brisbane river, plus many trips to Asia, Europe and the United States.
I have studied art at the Brisbane Institute of art since February of 2021, focusing on drawing (graphite and charcoal) and painting ( acrylic and watercolour) and he has dedicated his skills to creating art full time as a professional artist.
In creating his pieces, my aim to bring shape and colour to the attention of the viewer through abstract works that provide an intriguing insight to my passions and experiences.
My love of line and geometric shapes constantly challenge the senses to create a dynamic and thought-provoking style for the viewer. Experimentation of these ideas and mediums leads to a diversity of composition and exciting new challenges.
My creative process and inspiration are formed from linear cityscapes that are reduced to a simpler yet intriguing format.
I hope to expand my footprint in the art world in the coming years by entering more competitions and setting up market days where locals can view my paintings. All of my available works are available for viewing on Facebook and my website.
